Carlos is an experienced tax director based in our Chicago office, boasting an extensive career that spans back to 2007. With a focus on delivering exceptional tax services, Carlos specializes in catering to mid-size through large multinational clients across diverse industries, such as technology, manufacturing, distribution, retail, and real estate. He has a wide range of duties, encompassing federal, state, and international income tax compliance for both corporate entities and flow-through structures. His expertise extends to consulting services, where he actively engages with clients on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), tax credits, comprehensive tax planning, and individual taxation, particularly in his work with flow-through entity owners (Partnerships and S-corporations).
Prior to joining CBIZ, Carlos began his career at a big four accounting firm. Subsequently, he gained valuable experience at a public company within their accounting and tax group. This diverse background has equipped Carlos with a robust understanding of the intricacies of both public accounting and corporate environments, enabling him to strategically serve his clients.
