David’s clients include high-net-worth individuals as well as foreign and domestic trusts and related sub-trust entities. His business clients are involved in a wide range of activities including professional service corporations, commercial real estate development, oil and gas, residential and multi-unit construction and management, manufacturing, and insurance companies and agencies.
David has extensive experience in personal financial planning, high-level estate planning and administration, and the operation and tax reporting aspects of integrated estate planning.
In addition, David has acquired years of professional experience in the valuation of closely held businesses and professional practices for purposes ranging from designing buy/sell agreements, negotiating the purchase or sale, and divorces. Types of companies valued include medical and other professional practices, insurance agencies, retail businesses, and service businesses. He is qualified as an expert witness on business valuation issues in Federal District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and in District Courts of Arapahoe, Denver, El Paso, and Jefferson Counties.
Prior to establishing Ickovic & Co. PC, David worked at Ernst & Young LLP in Chicago and, later, in Denver. He has taught seminars for Ernst & Young training programs and has periodically published articles.
David is a licensed Certified Public Accountant for the state of Colorado. David earned the designation of Personal Financial Specialist from the American Institute of CPAs, and the Certified Financial Planner® designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and the designation of Fellow, Life Management Institute.
