Mike is a member of the Accounting and Auditing Group in New England and the Leader of the Not-For-Profit & Education Practice. Prior to joining CBIZ & MHM* in 2004, Mike was a partner in the Boston office of Grant Thornton LLP where he acted as the Department Head and the Partner-In-Charge of not-for-profit client services.
Mike has more than 30 years of audit experience and exclusively serves not-for-profit organizations. He assists clients in the areas of financial statement audits, audits under Uniform Guidance (formerly known as OMB Circular A-133), UFR matters, financial aid audits, internal control reviews and debt offerings, accounting matters, and related business concerns.
Mike has built a reputation for quality service in the not-for-profit community and has been the lead Director on over a dozen New England colleges, universities and secondary schools, including Lesley University, Salve Regina University and Belmont Hill School. He has also been the lead Director on more than 40 New England-based organizations, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, New England Aquarium, Archdiocese of Boston, and Tufts-New England Medical Center.
