Paul is a Tax Managing Director at CBIZ MHM, LLC and has more than 35 years of experience in financial reporting, income and estate tax planning, tax return preparation, tax controversy representation and financial reporting for individuals, family-owned and closely-held businesses.
Paul’s main industry expertise includes real estate developers, operators and managers, mortgage brokers and architects. He has assisted clients in purchase/sale transactions, loan financing, capital raising, tax-deferred exchanges and cost segregation studies. Other industry experience includes wholesale distributors, service organizations and import/export companies. Paul currently heads the tax practice for the firm’s Southern California offices.
Prior to joining the firm in 1987, Paul spent three years with the Big 8 firm Touche, Ross & Co., and three years with a Los Angeles accounting firm where he served Fortune 500 as well as closely-held companies. He served as Head of the firm’s Tax Department for five years. Paul is a speaker on tax and accounting topics to professional and civic groups.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
